Electronics How-to Information

Don't know how to operate some gadget in the Lodge? Check here:

Wi-fi

  • Wi-fi access is provided all around the Lodge. Consult the info placard on the top of the Guest PC for "super-secret" network name and passphrase.
  • Feel free to set up wi-fi to your mobile devices, laptops, and tablets.

Home Temperature Control

  • The main cool/heat control is located on the post next to the dining room.
  • At its simplest, tap anywhere and choose "Home" button or "Away" button. If you're planning to away for awhile, put the control in "Away" mode. If your staying in, please put the control in "Home" mode.
  • The greatroom, bonusroom, and bedrooms have individual temperature controls. Push the heat or cool control up or down to a comfortable setting. That held setting will eventually time out and reset to the chosen mode control.
  • The two guest bedrooms share a temperature control. Changes to this control affect both bedrooms. Coordinate comfortable temperatures with the guests in the opposite bedroom.

Security System

  • The Lodge employs a SimpliSafe security system throughout the house.
  • The system is disabled throughout your stay, so you shouldn't need to operate it.
  • The SimpliSafe control panel is located on the interior laundry room garage-entrance wall.
  • In case of emergency and you wish to call for help from police, fire, or medical, push the panic button like this:
    • The red button located on top of the SimpliSafe Keypad is the panic button. The red panic button must be held for two seconds in order to be activated and to send an alert.
  • Security cameras are located only outside the Lodge. There are no security cameras inside the lodge. These outward-facing security cameras are active with any detected motion, as follows:
    • Doorbell camera views out from the front door.
    • Driveway camera views the driveway and immediately on the street.
    • Backyard camera views the deck, looking out to the firepit patio.
    • Backyard shed camera views out toward the garden and the sheds.
